Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs

Conservation enters the exhibition story

The exhibition story

A major presentation of Matisse’s cut paper works, developed in connection with the conservation of The Swimming Pool.

The exhibition joined close attention to materials with questions of scale, colour and process. MoMA’s archive preserves installation images and publication details, allowing the display and its scholarship to be studied together.
