The Morozov Collection exhibition in Paris in 2021–2022 brought French and Russian modern art into a shared presentation. Ivan Morozov’s Music Room ensemble, commissioned from Maurice Denis, was an important part of that account.

Ivan’s story belongs beside that of his brother Mikhail, while remaining distinct. The exhibition’s institutional record offers a documented route into both lives and into the later movement of the works. It should not be mistaken for a complete reconstruction of either brother’s private intentions.
